What's in My Makeup Bag?

Even though I don't find myself clicking onto the Youtube beauty community much anymore, I still remember the days of getting home from uni, preparing my dinner and sitting back to watch a load of other people showing off their shopping hauls, makeup tutorials and skincare routines. That sounds pretty weird reading it back, but I loved it - the whole insight into another person's life and opinions was something I found really interesting and still do, hence the obsession I have for blogs.

Hopefully this post will serve as a little introduction into the kind of makeup I love and the brands I enjoy, because I'm going to do one of the oldest tags floating around on Youtube:

What's in my makeup bag?

Since I began working full time, it's become easier to put my face on whilst traveling. It buys me an extra 15 minutes in bed and gives me something to do instead of looking at the same old fields and farmhouses out the window! Here's what I use:

Face Products

Foundation - Vichy Dermablend in "Sand" - Haven't found anything better for the rosacea on my cheeks
Concealer - Cle De Peau concealer in "beige"
Bronzer - Too Faced Bronzer in "chocolate soleil"

I normally apply the foundation and concealer with my fingers, but the massive Smashbox number 19 face & body brush is perfect for an all over tan on the face.

Eye Products

Eyeliner - Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in number 27 "caviar ink"
Mascara - Makeup Forever Smoky Lash in "black" (not in pic)
Eyebrows - MAC eyebrow pencil in "fling"
Eyelash curlers - Shu Uemura

Eyeliner applied with MAC 209 fine liner brush.

Lip Products

Lip Liner - Prestige Liner in 206 "silk"
Lipstick - My all-time love - MAC "Hue"

I've been pondering over starting up a beauty and fitness blog for a while, since last year probably, but shyness and all that silly stuff stopped me ever making it.

Over the past few months I've lost a lot of weight, gained a lot of confidence and I feel that today is the day to start posting pictures of my made-up mug over the internet and ramble daily about the benefits of MAC lipstick over YSL's offerings and other such superficial musings...
